Profile+Station Equation Label

Hello all,

I am designing a railroad complex and found that in order to get the labels laid out how I wanted them to look the station equation label was a best fit. I modified it for my needs. This is perfect for labeling the P.I. and frogs of the turnout.

My problem lies in the profile. I do not need the station equation grid line showwing up. It appears the line is on the Grid Vertical Minor component in the View Profile-display section. I have tried to create a new layer call P-Grid-SQ for the station eq. lines. But if I use ctrl and click method to select only the sta. eq. line and change it the whole profile reverts to the P-grid-sq layer not just the line in question.

Anyone have any ideas?
