Profile Modifications

I have a profile that has text and ppe crossings drawn in that are not assoicatied with the profile. If I go and change the datum elevation or change the station extents the profile shifts and all the text that is not associated with the profile is shifted from where it should be.  Is there anyway to not have the profile shift when making changes?

Why are you not using civil3d objects for these crossings and lables? thought it would take too long? Smiley Wink

Anyhow, the only work aroung I could think of is to mark a basepoint for the static stuf before you edit the profile then move it relative.

you scared me with the "crossing" in you post.

FYI: you could create a lable style that picks up the name and or description of your pofile and get those "existing ground" labels dynamically Smiley Very Happy

Only if you have an existing surface.

Go through the CREATE PROFILE FROM SURFACE

Select the proper alignment.

and add surface to the profile.

If this isounds foreign, select HELP and go through the appropriate Tutorials.
