Does anyone know of a method (possible expressions) to create a profile view label that can reference pipe or structure data?
Since you cannot use Reference Text components to read Pipe data, why not make a Pipe label that uses a Profile Reference text?
I'm trying to get pipe size and materials. Flowlines arn't the issue. Hey AutoDesk, When is Civil 3D going to be fully operational?! lol.
Are you referring to Pipe & Structure Styles for labeling of the network?
Such as: 12" RCP Class V @ 1.00%.
Or are you attempting to mix with "profile" labeling?
We accomplish this by specifying "Material" parameters that we have inputted in our dwt / Parts catalogue.
Then in our Pipe label style the label uses the "Material" parameter to pull this information.
Takes some time setting it up but well worth it.
What I really am trying to accomplish is a pipe profile callout for pipe crossings that attatch vertically to the actual flowline of the pipe section, not from the centerline perpendicular to the inner pipe wall. This can't be done, so I have to use a profile callout with station/elevation. Profile callouts dont have pipe reference text. This is my issue.
This is what I want:
A profile callout that references pipe data or
A pipe callout that gets a verticle flowline not a perpendicular.
This is what I get:
A profile callout that can't get my pipe data and
a pipe callout that give me the wrong flowline.
This is what I want to get from my label.
I also want to make a vertical label option, but am not able to with pipe labels because it uses an offest from the centerline perpendicular to the flowline instead of a vertical. Here is an example so you can see how the flowline is off.
