I'm trying to use pay items in a pressure water network I'm building.
I can't find a pay item that fits for the fittings.
Are fittings normally included in the LF of pipe or are they assigned their own pay item?
Thanks.
After doing some more research, I found out our company uses the CSI format.
Is there a place to get the CSI pay item .csv file with more data than what is supplied OOTB?
I'm not sure what a CSI format is. You can create your own pay item. It's a simple .csv file with
Pay Item Number - Pay Item Description - Unit
That's it!
CSI stands for Construction Specifications Institute.
It's a pretty lenghty format that I didn't want to have to type out manually if I didn't have to.
For instance, in Division 3 concrete, the format is like this:
03 11 13.13 Concrete Slip forming
It depends on the format(s) they supply. Can one of them be easily changed to match the C3D format? I don't know. Can you post up a sample?
I posted a screen shot of what I'm working on.
The CSI xml file that comes OOTB with C3D has all the divisions and sections I need.
It's levels 4 & 5 (which are the 8th through 10th characters) to create the pay item lists that I've found difficult to find.
I think it may be because those levels are meant to be user-defined, so CSI hasn't created a standard for them.
