polylines to polygons

I just started working with civil3d and I bring data from shapes acrinfo to civil 3d but the data comes fine excep all the polygons in acrinfo become a polyline in civil 3d I try to change using the mappolylinetopolygon but it dosen't work. any idiea how can I resolve the problem?.

1] try to load them with _MAPIMPORT, unchecking the control about treating closed plines as polygons

2] if it doesn't work, perform a _MAPCLEAN then create a topology to create polygons (with islands)
