Polylines are non-coplanar

Hi-

We just upgraded to 2013, and one computer is having a weird issue.  There is nothing in the drawing.  He draws two polylines.  When he goes to fillet them, it says they are non-coplanar.  The properties palette says both polylines are elevation 0.  Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Thanks so much!

Meredith

I. Verify there is no UCS in effect

II. Apply Basic troubleshooting techiniques:

      A. Isolate the source

          1) Is it specific to the computer?

               a) Open the file on other machines

               b) Test using a new default user profile

          2) Is it specific to the file?

               a) Check file for corruption (Audit)

               b) Test on new file from clean default template

          3) etc.

convert 2d polyline to 3d then convert 3d to 2d - there are some instances where this works

Do the polylines display an extrusion (that is Z= -1)?
