Point Marker Styles

Hello all!
I've been looking in the last topics for something about how to add new blocks to the Marker Styles from the Multipurpose Styles Collection, and found nothing. I know how to edit the styles but the blocks available in the Block Id list are not enough.
Thanks.

Isabel,

The block id lists are dynamic and display the names of all the blocks in
the current drawing. If you need an addition block, first make the block
using the standard AutoCAD "block" command, or bring in a block from disk or
another drawing. After you're done, the new block will display in the
dropdown list.

Hi Peter,

Can you please include the ability to add blocks from drawings contained in a user specified default folder in a future release of Civil 3D ?

This way standards are easier to maintain. Currently if I wanted to make a change to a block, I would have to change the bock definition in each drawing template (we use several).

Thank You

Hi Peter,

In support of this suggestion, relying on having blocks in the drawing which
may or may not get used (and, quite likely, could get purged before being
wanted) seems to create an unnecessary overhead to Civil 3D.

Which at the end of the day leads us back to REALLY wanting a C3D file
that we CMs could use to drive styles, etc. It should be part of the
project structure to allow styles to be selected from the project....

All great suggestions! I'll make sure that they're all incorporated into our
thinking for future releases.

FYI, if the block is referenced by a style, then it can't be purged.
