Point Marker Size

On the Marker Tab of my point style, I set the Marker Size to 0.05".

Then on the Summary Tab, under the Marker Node, the Point Marker Size shows 0.004". If I change that to 0.05, like I have it on the Marker Tab, the point marker becomes huge. Why aren't these two settings the same?

Another question. When I reduce the Marker and Label sizes, the label doesn't "suck in" to the marker. How can I bring the label closer to the marker without dragging it?

Use the point group properties to change the positioning of the text. The x-offset and y-offset are the settings you want to edit.

Hi Charles,

OK, I see now. I have to change the X & Y Offset on the component that attaches to the feature.

Huge help. Thanks much.

The reason your sizes are different is that you have the Marker size set to a fraction the drawing scale. If you set your Marker to Use Fixed Scale the numbers will match.

Mark,

You are so right! I never noticed that. I normally use Drawing Scale to size my Marker. The Use Drawing Scale Size in the Marker Tab of Point Style is in Inches. The Point Marker Size under Marker in the Summary Tab is in Feet. 0.004'=0.05"

So if I set the Marker to Use Fixed Scale, then they do indeed match. Thank you.
