point label style/spot elevation style

I am trying to create a label style that will show me the point elevation and also the difference in elevation to the surface. I cant figure out how to get the text component to do this. Also if it should be done through a point label style or a surface spot elevation label. Has anyone done that before? Help would be greatly appreciated!

Sincpac is the way to go if you want this type of data and interaction.  While sincpac will not put this in a note form(at least not that i'm aware of) you can easily create a spreadsheet which lists differences between multiple points, point groups and multiple surfaces.

Look into using expressions, then put the expression into the label.

Unfortunatly I to get this label without this work around you would probalbly have to combine something life Reference Text in an Expression - which you can't do. You can get a Spot Elevation label to show a point elevation in it using Reference Text, but not the difference.

The volume surface is the way to go as described in the above post.

Thats why i assume it has to be done through the point label style. I can copy the component for the point elevation but i dont see where i can take the point elevation and subtract the surface elevation at that point

ex. [point elevation]-[surface elevation]

surface elevation isnt an available option in dealing with the point label style

hmmm....
