Point Group Automatic Update

Is there a way to have a point group automaticly update? It seems that the default all-points point group does this. How can I get all of the other point groups to follow suit?

The all points group shows all points all the time, it doesn't really update in the sense that other point groups update by the criteria they are defined by. Getting all point groups to update after each little change to a point would bog the system down, that's why it’s not automatic. Given that Civil3D is generally designed for PCs that haven't been built yet, I'm happy to update manually as and when needed.

What would be an idea is an “Update/Recalc Everything” button somewhere that makes sure everything in the project is up to date.

And yet there is a button to make the surface update automatically, except
of course when the damn point group gets out of sync. So I believe the point
groups should at least give you the option to automatically update. And then
there are the key descriptions, which doesn't update the point symbol unless
you actually reimport the point (or manually reassign the point style with
vba, which was my workaround). c3d is supposed to be dynamic.

Hi

Did this change in the past 15 years?

Nope.

Edit - there may be third party utilities or tools that could do this.  Maybe Dynamo?
