Point Coordinates don't match Text file

I have imported points from a text file and they are all off by 0.01.

I know that's not much but it is still not what is on the text file.

What gives?

I've attached the an excel file showing the points in the drawing after import and the text file they were imported from.

The only differences my poor eyes detect is that the elevation in the spread sheet are only displayed to 3 decimal places rather than 4. Check your decimal settings in you drawing and you're spread sheet.

Check your PNEZD format and make sure the columns are defined with the correct precision. When you parse the incoming file, the preview should show you the full elevation precision.

Comparing the Excel file will not help us to diagnose. If you have the drawing, we could inspect your styles and points.

I am asking about the coordinate differences not the elevations.

Sorry for the lack of detail.

Sorry. I'm at a loss. I've looked at all 14 points and the only difference I can see is that Point #10 has a .0001 discrepancy in the northing. Maybe I'm just not seeing something.

When I look at the two files that you posted, I do not see a difference in coordinates other than pt#10 that if by 0.0001 Northing.  I tried loading the txt file, and checked about half the coordinates and did not see a discrepancy.  I started looking into the Drawing Settings and wondered if maybe your file might be applying a transformation?  Check the Transformation tab under Drawing Utilities > Drawing Settings?

I am sorry, I have attached the files that I should have in the first place.

It's been a long day.

OK that helps.  However, when I import the point file and examine about a half dozen points all seems good.  So must be something with the drawing or AutoCAD setup??  I suggest you post a dwg file with just those points imported so that folks can look at the dwg file itself.

Our template settings under "Units and Zone" was set to "US Survey Foot".

I changed it to "International Foot" and all is as it should be.

It's only "as it should be" if the the coordinates in the text file were in International Feet and you're supposed to be working in International Feet. Since you're coordinate values are so low and arbitrary I can tell you're not working in State Plane. With coordinate values this low It's not going to make any difference in this case. But if you were working in a State Plane or Geodetic coordinate system. You would have to know what system the coordinates were collected in.

Glad you're to a point where you and work.
