Plotting Utilities in 3d in civil 3d

How to plot (print) roads having utilities visible eg. pipes like the one i attached.

Cameras, Lights , action! Smiley Wink

 

I'm thinking the image you show would require camera angles to be applied, lots and lots of materials applied and a bunch of rendering time. it probably was done in 3DSMax or something like that. Not that it couldn't be done in civil3d, another vertical would probably make it easier.

That image is from Autodesk Navisworks.

 

You could also do this with InfraWorks, or, as Joe suggested, 3DS Max Design.

 

If you own Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite Premium or Ultimate, you have all three of these programs.
