Plot Log Not Turning OFF

Plot Log staying On even though we have it turned off in options and under the plot stamp-->Advanced settings.

Where else can this plot.log file be getting created from? We don't publish and each system that is creating this plot.log file stores them on our server.

Not a huge issue to delete the log files at the end of every week, but just seems strange that even though we've de-selected the log file creation C3D is still creating the **** thing.

Civil 3D 2013 and 2014 (Current SP)

Windows 7 64bit & Windows 8 64bit

8GB RAM (Min) & 24GB RAM (Max)

75 years experience with CAD

Thanks

Are you using an AutoCAD log as well? If you shut that off, does the plot log shut off too?

I am curious as to why you have your logs going to a network location. Do you find that negatively impacts AutoCAD performance and general network traffic?

We are NOT using any other log file creation (AutoCAD) other than what comes default. So, no AutoCAD logs.

As for why we are putting them on the network; Our Options-->Plot and Publish Log File Location is set to the default/install location for the HDD itself and not the network. But, somehow or another the log file "follow" the drawing path. No major issue with it slowing the plot process down. The file itself is not large (we don't find that it appends the log either).

So, I've just dealt with this "feature" in the program and delete them manually.

Oh those plot logs, not the AutoCAD Options-specified plot log. No, I don't know how to turn those off. If you figure it out, please be sure to update this case. Someone else is sure to want to know how, too.

OPTIONS
PLOTSTAMP
PLOT dialog box

Not sure there are any other locations to turn that in/off at in AutoCAD.

Dean is there any little nook or cranny of AutoCAD that you don't know?

To BTimmermanMMS, if you need step-by-step instructions for Dean's solution:

Options

Plot and Publish tab

Plot Stamp Settings....

Advanced

Uncheck Create a log file.
