PLINE Width Transparency

I am working with PLINE with a width set anything greater than 0, and the PLINE shows up faded- greyed out- transparent, prior to clicking. It's irritating and I can't really see where I'm drafting.

I've tried the suggestions at this forum but they haven't worked:

I'm running C3D 2013

Any other suggestions?

Check the "Transparency" setting for the Layer in question in layer manager. (view may be toggled off)

Also select the Polyline and look at properties palette "Transparency" for possible object setting override.

Valid range is from 0-90.
