Pipes creation...with correct styles

Hi All,

I thought I got this sussed last night after watching the latest webcast.

I created a part family for sewer laterals
(see attached word doc for screenshots).

Now, I thought that when styles were set in the part family, then it would override the default settings for the network. If not, then how on earth do I get automatic insertion of pipe network objects with the correct styles.

Perhaps this has something to do with my last post where part families failed to load....(sigh).

Any help appreciated.

Cheers, Peter.

Peter, many people are a little hesitant to open DOC files in a public
forum. You'll get more replies if you attach images (JPG or PNG) instead.

Thanks for the advice Matt.

Am I allowed to attach many images?

I have managed to move on from where I was this morning thankfully....there was something wrong with the copied part catalog that I was using....goodness knows what, it worked yesterday....

cheers,
Peter.

I believe the forums only allow one attachment per post. You can use a free image hosting site. I kinda like www.tinypic.com. Just upload the image there and then past the link in your message.

Brian,

One thing to note about sites like tinypic: there are individuals about (yes, me included) who only have limited access to the Net - in my case because that's how my employer limits work-time Net-surfing. Thus, while anything on trusted sites like anything.autodesk.com are accessible, hyperlinks often aren't. I've had this issue on the Community site too.

That's not to say don't use these sites. It's just something to be aware of if you're posting something you want _everybody_ to able to view and/or help with. It doesn't bother me personally, I just thought it worth mentioning.

Hi Trevor,

Thanks for the heads up. I'll remember that for future posts.
