pipe network data shortcut works but new changes don't show up.

I have a dwg with a run call SAN and made a data shortcut that is read by other dwgs.  The dwgs were moved onto boxsync and a registry entry was made so that files are read from a c: drive path.

the acad xref links work fine.  the data shortcut links appear to work fine.

I added a pipe to the san network but it does not show up in anything referencing it.  in a reference dwg i can say open source dwg and it opens up the source dwg with the new pipe. vlaidate data shortcuts shows no errors.

in the reference dwg you are now allowed to create a new reference to san for some reason. but there is a san in there reference dwg not promoted that should be working.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem would be appreciated.

Thanks, alex

In the source dwg I renamed the pipe run and then renamed it back to the original name immediatly and that fixed the problem.
