Pipe Inverts keep changing

Is there a way to LOCK pipe invert elevations in pipe networks?? We get our inverts set, then if we have to move a junction structure, even a foot horizontally, the pipes shoot to zero elevation and we have to go back and redo them all. Is there a step that I'm missing??? Thank you!!

How are you moving the structure? I do this quite often and don't recall ever having the pipes go to 0.

We pick the structure, grab the grip, move it over.

I suspect you may be moving the structures in the profile, when you should move them in plan only.  You should notice that the pipes are tagging along with the structure.

No, we are moving them in plan only. I'm not even sure how you'd move them in the profile.

Want to post a cleaned up dwg?  I'm curious.

I think you are moving beyond the limits of your surface.

Try toggling the surface to none on structure properties before you move.

Is it possible you are graving the pipe end too?

I'm having the same issue.  Is there a system variable or a setting somewhere in toolspace that I'm missing?

Message 12 of 14

If there is I haven't found it. A colleague suggested moving the alignment BEFORE moving the pipe. I haven't tried it yet but it's worth a shot!

Thanks!  I'll keep looking - if I find anything I'll post it.

There is no toggle for this so save your time looking.

As others said there is no history with a bug and insure you are only selecting the structure, no pipes, no alignments and make sure you are on the surface.

Posting a file is the best way to get help.
