Pentium D chips?

Hi all,

I'm having all kinds of unexplainable errors. I give the file to others and
they report no problems. so I'm left to assume that the problem is a
hardware issue? I have purchased 7 Dell computers with the Pentium D
processor in it. I was wondering if anyone else has this chip and has done
any extensive working with C3D?

My latest error is in trying to create a surface from a corridor object. No
matter how many times I try this, I get a Fatal Error. I have given the file
to others to play with and they report no problems with this. I swapped out
memory.

I DO have C3D 2007 installed on the same machine as I have 2006 installed. I
have heard of issues around this. And my machine is the only one in the
company with C3D 2007 loaded up (I'm configuring/testing it before rollout).
I have to have 2006 loaded in order to stay productive so removing 2006 is
not an option.

Any other hints, tips, tricks that anyone can think of?

Thanks,

Rick

Don't think it is the processor as one of my users has a pentium D.
I assume you have repaired 06 since you installed 07.
Just one file or all files?
Might try going into Doc's and settings, your profile, application data and delete the Civil 3D 2006 stuff and let it rebuild itself the next time you launch the product.
You will need to reconfigure but it may be worth a shot.

Or how about installing the two patches that came out recently. I had the problem a couple of times, but not sure it was related to hardware.
