Pasting surfaces. Source is not available?

I have a surface called EG- After Shoreline Cleanup.  I need to paste that into other surfaces -- one of which is EG-Inner Middle.

When I attempt to paste it in, it's not listed among the available surfaces.  Is there a setting somewhere that I don't know about?

I've uploaded a zip file to dropbox.  The zip contains two dwg files.  One contains my EG surface (and is referenced into the other one).  The second one is the file I'm working in.

Never Mind.  I just found the issue.  Doing so would create a Circular Reference.

EG-Inner Middle is already pasted into EG-Shoreline Cleanup.

Thanks looking.
