AutoCAD needs to address the following issues
1) AutoCAD has not used the correct inside pipe dimensions and wall thicknesses for AWWA pressure class 350 pipes. The outside diameter dimensions are correct and it is not difficult to change the part dimensions with the custom part builder but still, this is supposed to be a very higher order engineering software and you would think that they would use the correct dimensions! I went ahead and changed the inside part dimensions to reflect AWWA specs. As I use cement lined pipe, I included that dimension as well.
2) There's no vitrified clay pipe parts. I went ahead and created my own custom parts with the correct part dimensions but still! AutoCAD, there is a lot of clay pipe in this world and we do need to properly represent it in our drawings!
3) There's no 8" or 10" RCP. These are not standard sizes but they are manufactured commonly. Again, I just added these sizes to my part catalog.
Would be nice if they didn't constrain the part sizes the way that they do and make it easier to add a pipe size for say .75" to 1.5" lines. Oh wait, you mean to say they've never heard of a pipe size smaller than 3"? Interesting...lol. It needs to be an open field list, not a pulldown.
You should probably add this to the wish list.
