Part Builder question

I am trying to create a custom part to represent a water valve. The structure would basically look like a pipe sleeve. I have a circular horizontal structure that is using the midplane extrusion. Is there any way to have a structure diameter size itself based on the pipe size?

The only structure I know of that can resize itself, based on the connecting pipes, is a Null structure ... but I don't know how it does it.

For doing a valve or any water assembly you will be better off using any C3D structure and making a style that views like a valve. Trying to get the valve to line up, scale, rotate, etc.. is a pain and so far the best method is using 2D blocks that you probably already have and using them for the plan, profile, and sections of the part.

The only way to have the structure diameter change based on the pipe would be to write a custom structure rule in vba. Partbuilder doesnt have this ability.
