Hey All;
The question came up on the Land side
whether C3D allows more flexibility for control (read change) of Parcel
Numbers/Names. If you were to go through with numbering all the lots in a
subdivision, and then were requested to re-number them based on their Block
status, would this be a tedious task, or simple?
Block 1, Lot 1
Block 2, Lot 1
etc.
TIA

Don,
The latest release included improvements
to parcel renumbering and renaming. This is the command that allows
you to draw a fence through a series of parcels.
For renumbering, the duplicate number issue was
eliminated so you don't have to first renumber them to a high value. If you've
created a bunch of parcels and the numbers are all jumbled you can pick a
starting point for parcel 1 and a path through the parcels, and it will
renumber them sequentially as you would expect.
For renaming, you can set it to use a name
template, or you can override it. The numbers in the name can come from
the actual parcel number and/or using a counter (from a specified starting
number) so I think that you should be able to accomplish this.
The properties of a parcel has also been
improved. You can set it to use a the name template, or you can override it
with a manually entered string.
