Parcel Database

Do I have access to the Parcel Database?

What I would like to do is add some extended data. (Q values for inlet
calculations.) I notice that there is some extended data including Tax Id.
Is this customizable? I can imagine it would be nice if I could add Owner
for parcels and Easment numbers for the easements.

Thanks,

Conan Witzel

The way you get to this is through the parcels menu:

Parcels/Labels/Manage User Defined Property Fields...
Define a new property field name as well as a default value (if you have
one, otherwise leave the default blank).

To assign specific values to a given parcel, go to:

Parcels/Labels/Edit User Defined Property Fields...
Draw a crossing polyline through the parcels you want to edit, and the
new property field should be listed in the dialog that pops up.

Currently, the only supported property field type is text.

Can I do any kind of linking or pasting. I will be calculating these values
in Excel for each Parcel so the value will be related to the parcel in
Excel?

Thanks,

just a couple of thoughts on
Edit User Defined Property Fields:

1) User Defined Properties Field Editor
keeps centering itself within C3D graphics
area which is probably not always desired
behavior, say a user want to have a look
at the parcels which fields are being
edited.
2) While browsing through selected parcels
(Next/Previous buttons) it'd be more gracious
if Next button is grayed out when last
parcels is reached (and Previous button
is grayed out when first parcel is reached)
rather than terminating the dialog box and
prompting for a new selection. Terminating
the dialog box should occur only for
OK/Cancel buttons.

thanks

I don't see any way for you to accomplish that easily. I know the UI
doesn't have a way of doing that yet. I also took a quick look at our VBA
interface to see if there was another way, but didn't find any.

We already have recieved some requests for the functionality you've
described, but I logged your request anyway to make sure it was recorded.
