Parcel Area - SQ FT factor.

C3D 2006

This should be easy but I can't find the answer anywhere. I'm working on a "unitless" siteplan where the asumption is 1 unit represents 1 foot.

When creating parcels the area is represented by sq feet. That's fine. But C3D does a division of 144 to the area to display the sq ft in the label assuming that 1 unit represents 1 inch. Thus I have a situation where 144 sq ft is represented as 1 sq ft.

Modifying ddunits has no effect whatsoever. Likewise Insunits. Any suggstions greatly appretiated.

there is some strange stuff that occured in 2006 that makes the definition
of a "unit" a new animal.

you definitely need to work in drawings set up to be feet from now on.

there is another place to change units in c3d. see screen capture attached.

I think I saw something in Mark Scacco's C3D for H+H paper that might be
able to be adapted to do this- something with an AutoCAD table and a field.
Since AutoCAD tables can do math, that might be the answer.

see page 5+6 and see if it gives you ideas. I think about it more...

thanks.  That did it for me too.  Also was messing up the pipe dimensions.  probably should be synced w/ UNITS command, but there's a lot of moving parts.
