Panorama pop ups

I was wondering if there was anywhere one can turn up this pop ups (not sure what it's properly called) when one moves their cursor over numbers for about 2 seconds say in a point group in Civil 3d 2011?  I have tried turning off tooltips in options, tried quick properties and all it's setvars, and even in Ambient Settings under General but could not.  It's just very annoying after awhile and pop up also covers the next row or two depending on info shown.

We updated from Civil 3d 2008 and it wasn't present then but is now.  Attaching image to see what I am talking about. Thank you.

I belive you are talking about tooltips. There are multiple places where this setting is stored depending on type of object you use. I would start with Options menu, Display tab. There should be a Show ToolTips option to un-check.

Dana Probert wrote the article explaining where the settings can be found. See it here: http://www.civil4d.com/2007/03/who-killed-my-tooltips-four-usual-suspects/

Sorry to say but none of those suggestions worked.  In fact #1 suggestion showing unchecking Tooltip button is not even an option in Civil 3D 2011. It was in Civil 3d 2008 though but didn't help.  But I did notice while in Civil 2008 those pop ups did come up like they do now when the cursor hovers over a number but they were a lot smaller sized and had only one line of text not like what you see in the attachment I had enclosed.

Yes I did.  Also unchecked any tooltips mentioned in that link you mentioned.  All were turned off and the info like in my attachement still showed.  Even played with the setvars for Quick Properties but to no avail.  Even looked under Ambient settings and under General found another 'tooltip' setting but when I turned it off it still wasn't what I was trying to accomplish.  Someone even suggested it may be a Windows tooltip.  Went into registry and turned off InfoTooltips which did turn off all my tooltips for windows but had no affect on  There's probably one unchecked box I can't find. Thanks for looking into this.

To turn off the panorama popup, toolbar, in the top right of it there is a green "checked box." Click it. Game over.
