Osnap to a point node

Is there a setting that I am missing where if your osnap is set to node, it will snap to the node if you hover over the point text? I seem to remember this working in versions before 2012.

Thanks

Increasing the Aperture Size in Options>Drafting Tab>Aperture Size will allow the

Point node to be snapped from further away when using the Node osnap.

Using the transparent command 'PO will let you snap to a node by hovering over the text.

Neither of these options do what I want it to do. I thought if you had Osnap set to NODE that you could hover over the point text and it would snap to the point node.

It did at one time. Maybe with a previous version of the Civil point object. I know it did in LDD.

While not an answer to your question. THIS can help while drawing using OSnaps.

It used to work this way in LDD. We are not happy this has been removed. The only way to make it work is to hover over the actual point symbol...which isn't quite as effective imo. As one of the posters above has identified you can make this functionality work by using the 'po transparent toggle. This is not an osnap function and as such you can't use it in the same manner. I use the 'po command if I am connecting up a series of points for whatever reason.

Sure wish they brought this feature back to work with the node osnap.

did you ever figure this out? im having that same issue LDD used to be so good now this is just frustrating.

if i increase apeture then its gonna snap to other stuff close to it.

if i increase the point node style size its going to clutter the screen.

cant hover over point labels anymore.

hopefully you found a solution. after all these years the simple stuff you think would be fixed by now. ORRRR they could have not even touched it from the beginning.
