What are the advantages (or not) of using the Add Labels > Notes method as opposed to MTEXT/Multileaders in C3D??
Thanks

With Label > Notes, the text in the Note canaccess information about c3d data. The most common we use is station & offset points. A regular mleader can't to that.
Also, the C3D is tied to the C3D scale paradigm. (if you are using annotation aware mleaders the C3D scaling and regular Acad scaling stay insync but the can be made to be out of sync if a need arised).
Generally, you'll have to use both usually in a drawing, but if you are going to annotate somehting about a C3D entity use a label not a mleader.
There's a decent label note example in the C3D help file about access station & offset info in the note text.
Ok - thanks for this

I love using the General Notes, but they do have some downfalls. You cannot copy and paste these notes from one drawing to another if the same style exists. They reset. Also, spell check does not work. As Michael said they are great for C3D labeling to an object, but if you are using them for just general text input they may not be the way to go. We will use them for some basic general text, getting the style advantage of font, size and layer.
That's very useful - thanks
