North Arrow Alignment with Plan Production Civil 3D 2012

Has anyone heard of a solution to the North Arrow not aligning correctly in the layout of sheets created using the Plan and Production Tool? I saw a post from over a year ago, it seems Autodesk should have heard this plight by now. Please post a solution here? Thanks!

Is there a bug that makes the North Arrow Alignment bogus on sheets created using the Plan and Production Tool, or am I just missing a step here?  It seems the first sheet is ok, but I have an alignment that meanders, with a directional range greater than 180 degrees along the centerline path.  My end sheet north arrow is COMPLETELY off. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Also, I noticed when I Data Reference the View Frame Group into my sheets, I loose the sheet references in the View Frame Group, and the Matchline text that should say "See Sheet 002" goes to ###.  Why is there a Data Reference option with View Frame Groups, if the Sheet Reference is not held in the data shortcut?  Very frustrating to get to actual deliverable plan and profile sheets using Civil 3D...

Posting with your software version might help someone find if there is a fix for that release. I don't know anything about it myself.

Not sure what version your asking about, but I submitted a AutoDesk Support Request for this issue for 2012 SP2.1 in Jan. 2013 and received the following response:

"I understand you are experiencing issues with the North Arrow rotation when using plan production. This is actually a known issue that Development is currently looking into that seems to only affect your “A” option you listed in the description “a. We are using 1 Layout per drawing files option.”. According to Development’s notes "created in the current drawing" and "all in one new drawing" work fine. This may be a valid workaround for the time being.

At this point I have linked this case to Development’s issue and I will close this out for Support’s side of things. This will continue on with Development until they have determined the issue and hopefully resolve it in a future release."

We use the 1 Layout per drawing option (so team worksharing is possible) and currently have to fix the North Arrow after the fact.

I'm currently using 2012 SP3 and it's still broken using 1 Layout per drawing option but it works fine if the "All Layouts in one new drawing" option is used.

If SP3 didn't fix it. I doubt you'll see it fixed in 2012. I was very surprised to see SP3. Either it fixed something important enough for Autodesk want if fixed in an old version or all the fixes for more recent versions were easily ported to 2012.

I would agree it's not going to get fixed in 2012 but I'm also curious to hear from folks that Use the "One Layout per Drawing"

option in 2013 and 2014 to see if the issue still persists?

The issue was originally identified here in the 2012 version by one of our users. We are currently in a transition going to 2013.  I just tested this issue in C3D 2013 and it still exists for the "1 Layout per drawing" option.  Changing our Company's workflow process for one persistent bug is not feasible for our size.  Hopefully it eventually gets solved, but until then I guess I will put word out to our users regarding this "bug."  Thanks to everyone for your feedback...
