english is not my first language, so i wil ltry to explain the best i can my problem.
i made a survey, about 2000 points with my TSC3\R6. I exported my CSV file to a PNEZD file with comma seperated. When i try ti import the file (CSV then i made a .txt), C3D tells me "no point file format match found". Then I opened the txt file, searched for any error that would not let me import my points. The only thing i have found would be the description of my points that sometimes had a space between 2 words (ex: bt balast and ht balast) so i changed it to bt-balast and ht-balast. i looked further and didnt found anything else. heres a sample of my txt file:
11251,5038721.804,370118.600,52.877,69
11252,5038722.437,370118.327,52.980,82
11253,5038725.381,370117.058,54.235,81
11254,5038725.967,370117.395,54.325,bt-balast
11255,5038727.637,370116.899,54.860,ht-balast
11256,5038728.983,370116.602,54.857,balast
11257,5038730.043,370116.150,54.839,ht-balast
11258,5038731.524,370115.635,54.345,bt-balast
11259,5038731.763,370115.674,54.308,81
11260,5038733.529,370114.961,53.606,82
11261,5038734.460,370114.525,53.505,350
Now i have to draw something but i cant even find why importing points fails in C3D.
some usefull informations maybe:
windows 7 32bits SP1
autocad civil 3d 2013 (not yet activated, next week)
thanks

Is your CSV file open in Excel...? That will cause the failure you're describing. Pretty annoying, especially since the error message is so vague, but that's how I hit that message.
Why am I getting a no point file match found message when I try to import the below point file? I do not have the excel file open when I try to import. I see that there is a pre made point file format that matches my point file. I have tried creating my own point file format also. I have tried restarting and saving my .csv in diffent formats. I usually figure problems like this out on my own, but I have already wasted way to much time on figuring this out. TIA for any help or suggestions.

You're better off to attach the CSV file rather than paste in to your forum post.
The only issue I could see was that you're point numbers include letters. So I created a point file format that just loaded them as a description field rather than 'point number'. I would rename your points, so that the 'P' is removed. Test your format by loading the file and parsing it using the buttons at the bottom of the format editing dialog box.
I can post some step by step instructions if you need.
Cheers

Olalekan,
Welcome to the Autodesk Forums.
Your GRV PK.csv point file has 6 columns: PNEZDD. If you concatenate the last two columns, then you can use a PNEZD file format. If you want them separate, then you'll need to create a UDP (User Defined Property).
