here is what i did to cause this problem:
in an effort to help a fellow employee, i showed him how to export and then
import his user profile. i did this on my computer with my profile because i
am an idiot and thought it would just work. i exported w/o any issue. upon
import, i get an error - "the profile file selected does not contain a valid
autocad registry subkey path. canceling command." now, my user profile is
hosed. no big deal, i create a new one and go back to work. i can't work,
none of my c3d functions are working. i restart c3d. no help. i get:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk Civil 3D 2006\Civil\AeccUiLand30.arx cannot find a
dll or other file that it needs.
C:\Program Files\Autodesk Civil 3D 2006\Civil\AeccUiModel30.arx cannot find
a
dll or other file that it needs.
C:\Program Files\Autodesk Civil 3D 2006\Civil\AeccUiNetwork30.arx cannot
find a
dll or other file that it needs.
C:\Program Files\Autodesk Civil 3D 2006\Civil\AeccUiRoadway30.arx cannot
find a
dll or other file that it needs.
i reboot. no help. i repair. i am back up and running! WEEEEE...crash! i
open c3d after crash, i have no c3d functions. i repair. i am back up and
running. WEEEEE...repeat.
if i close the program (or it closes itself), i have to run a repair to use
it again. i've been leaving my pc on and c3d open for days now, ignoring
the problem but it won't go away.
