new part sizes in part builder

I tried to add a part size in part builder but the dwg wouldn't save or update. It was write protected or something. How can I get around this?

You need full read/write permission in Windows for the Parts Catalog folder. If ou have an IT dept you may want to give them a call. If you can change permissions browse to the Part Catalog folder in Windows Explorer, right-click on the folder and choose Properties. You should be able to remove the Read Only check if it is applied.

If you crashed while in Part Builder you may have also left a dwl lock file behind in the part catalog folder...Find it and delete it.

I go to properties of my part builder catalog folder and try to remove the
read only but it comes back. My boss told me they gave me full permission so
I don't know why I can't remove it.

I don't see a dwl file anywhere.
