Network Catalog

When editing an existing water network, civil 3d is unable to draw pipes because it doesn't recognize the network catalog. I've tried re-setting the network path. How do I get it to recognize? Thanks

it recently started giving me the "unable to access pipe or structure catalog" when i reset network path it seems to be fine until i want to draw a pipe then it won't allow me because there is nothing in the structure box to the left of my pipe size and type. If I change to the standard parts list and then back to water parts list it shows an 8 inch pvc pipe in my structure box and will let me draw water pipe but then they're all labeled wrong...draws an 8" labels it as 12" and so forth...is any of this making sense...I appreciate any help or advice you can give. thanks

if you haven't made customizations to your catalog (ie through partbuilder
or otherwise) maybe something happened by accident... i don't know the best
way to fix it. you could copy the catalog from another user that isnt
having issues or reinstall...

I'm having the same problem. I have created new parts list for waterlines and pipelines but used the parts from the parts catalog provided with Civil 3D. I did not create any parts. For some reason, sometimes the structure catalog gets lost and I can't get it back. I have to end up deleting the part list that gives me trouble and recreate it. It seems to only happen if I define a null part and no other parts or if I don't define any parts for structures. I have attached the error message for review. I have tried to reset the network catalog path as the error states but Civil does not recognize the command.

If this is the same issue I was having after copying in pipes from a previous version, I found that if I go into the Part Builder and do a catalog regen (once for pipes, once for structures), it will see all my pipes/structures again in my parts list.
