Need Help with Linear Quantities/ Pay Items

CAD0007.png

Hello,

I need those two linear quantities above as shown:

Red (Fill) = 5.43

Blue (Cut) = 6.06

Is there a way for Civil 3D to generate those quantities for every section?

The post you gave is for area/volume. 😞

But I need the linear quantities...

Assign the pay item to the code set style for the link and then use the Takeoff to get the quantity.

Yes, I figured that much out.
But I can't seem to separate the link (sub base in this case) between cut and fill sections.

I need the quantity separately for cut sections, and fill sections.

Hope that makes sense.

I can't think of an out of the box subassembly that will do this. I'd use subassembly composer to create it.

Pay items for Links will give you areas, not linear link section lengths... Use corridor feature line reports.

You could do this with Generic Links that track the subbase behavior where you can assign link codes.

Use conditional cut/fill links, and pass subbase offset paramters to the generic links. Generate the report.

Hi Fred,
It's been a while, I still have no idea how to create generic links that can track the subbase behavior.

Please help me out a little?
