Need Help ECW Image!

Does anyone know of a software that i can use to edit and ECW Image. Or is there a way of Editing the image on AutoCAD Civil 3D or AutoCAD Mapping 3D. I get and Image that is too large to send off. On Civil 3D all I can do is clip the image. I have the image that shows about 30+ square miles, and i only need a tiny part of that image. I Tried Blue Marble Graphics, it worked great but i was running it on a 30 day trial.

No doubt about: first, convert ECW=>GeoTIFF thru ER Viewer, then edit the latter thru Qgis.

Global Mapper is ideal for this task.  Just open the ecw file and then export a clipped area to another ecw file.

Ideal but expensive, whereas mine is costless...

Pretty sure that Global Mapper is free to try.  It won't allow you to open more than three or four data files at once unless you have a license.

As far as I know, GM is always free to try without any time limit, but commands like save/export are always disabled.
That's why I use it as the best ever Gis viewer, forgetting about editing...

Hey Antonio,
Does converting the image to geotiff mess with the picture quality

Thanks Antonio! I gave ER Viewer a shot and it worked perfectly. A long process but was worth it. I don't have to put my projects on hold from now on.
