NCopy Copy Nested Objects

The NCOPY command used ot allow you to copy a nested object onto the current layer in the active drawing. Now, in 2012, it seems to copy the nested object, but it brings the reference layer with it.  Is there a setting that can be changed so I can still do the former?

Bill,

thanks for sharing that link.  I downloaded xcopy and it works like a champ.  Now, to add my wish for NCOPYMODE as well, and an additional item to be able to select multiple items at once.
