Multiple Text Styles in Band Label Composer?

I am trying to create a profile data band that has three labels in it: existing ground, proposed grade and station. I want the existing grade to be a different text style thatn the other two labels though. Is this possible?

Yes. In the label style composer, you can specify text style, size,
rotation, justification, etc.

Well - in the Label Style composer there is no Text Style option. The only place I see a text style option in the Label Style composer is in the Text Component Editor under the Format tab but that won't let you change it from whattever it is set to in the Band Details window... Any more specific ideas?

See the image below. I want the color 31 existing elevations to be a different text style that is obliqued. The three labels in this band are existing, proposed elevations and station numbers. The only place I seem to be able to edit the text style is in the Band Details window where you begin to define major, minor, blah blah labels. Do all labels in the band have to be the same text style??

Thanks,

ARC

Also - as long as we're looking at that picture - is there a way to have my last Station have a precision of two decimal places to show exactly where the alignment ends?

In your example, your existing and proposed numbers are apparently the same,
just different decimal places.

No.

In the band details window, you have to define the "blah blah" labels
that you so eloquently describe. Once you select the label at the
major or minor stations, you can edit the label. You can edit the
label text, and select a font for this text. I've attached not only a
screenshot of where this is picked, but evidence that it can be done...

In the text component editor of the label style composer there should be a format tab. There you can highlight text and select a different font than the text style provides. I've done it this way and it works fine.

See pic.

Thanks for the response and examples Folks, very nice! I was trying to chage the TEXT STYLE which are predefined by the company yadda yadda yadda 🙂 which you cannot change (apparently)... not the FONT. But that (FONT) will work!

Did you all happen to see my 2nd question about the precise station number?

Thanks again,

I'm not saying that it can't be done, but I haven't found a way to label
the last (or first) station with a higher precision. From what I've
seen, it's all or nothing.

Another work around, if not using true type fonts, that you can try is to
put 2 bands on top of one another. In the one band include the profile data
for the exisiting info, the other band have the propsosed info. You can then
assign whatever text style you prefer. Use you gap spacing to align on top
of one another. Create a label set that has these already aligned and the
proper profile data bands and you are set.

I think it can be done by setting the precision to 0.01 and then select 'yes' to the 'drop decimal for whole numbers' modifier.

Arc, try it and see if it gets makes what you need.

Nice - didn't think about that.
