Multi view blocks

Is it possible to us a mutli view block in a point style? I would like to use one of the tree blocks that ship with the software as a point marker that shows in plan and in 3D.

Not directly (the selection list only shows blocks), but you can put the
multi-view block inside of a block.

Yes it is. It was shown in a recent Webcast, though I can't remember which
one.

That works great, but it seems to only use the 3d version of the block. If I use one of the trees from the landscape folder, the plan version of the block doesn't show up in plan view, just an overhead view of the 3D block.

Thanks

I know this post is old, but I think people still use it as a resource (I tried to) so let me add a note to the conversation:

If you want the multiview block to show up in both plan and model space, make sure the maker visibility is turned on (under the display tab in the point style editor) for both plan and model views.  It should work just like any other block as long as your visibility is correct.
