Working in Civil 3D 2011 with service pack 1 on Windows 7:
Selecting an Mpolygon causes the program to crash almost immediately. This is occuring with mpolygons created in 2009 and opened in 2011, as well as mpolygons created from scratch in 2011. This crash also occurs in Map 3D 2011.
Anyone have experience with this? It seems like a fundamental program bug, but I cannot find any mention of it on the boards or on the knowledge bases. Thanks,
-Anton
Hi Eric, and others:
Please install Civil 3D 2011 Update 2 (freshly released!) which should resolve this problem.
Hi Himanshu
Awesome!!!
MPolygon works fine now. So far I tested it to those drawings I have problem and they are not shutting down now. And also tried to create a new mpolygons, and they also work fine.
The only problem I notice so far, is editing. You can edit drag the other vertices but not the first vertice. Not sure if this is how the moply works. But hey, at least it is not shutting down which drive me crazy when you you are not aware that there is a mploygon on the drawing and haven't save the drawing (which result to rework and additional man hour).
Thank you so much for having this fix.
Cheers,
Eric
@jo.moonen:
Please provide information about versions of products on your system - Civil and Map. Do you also have SSA installed with Civil?
Do you have Civil 3D 2011 on the same machine? Update 2 for C3D 2011 installed?
I have this error on the Autocad Map 3D 2012 edition.
I haven't installed the update 1 yet. I only saw this, when you told about it.
So I'll give this a try and let you know.
thanks!
To understand the circumstances in which you are running into this crash, I really need to know the answers to the questions about which products you have on your system in addition to Map 3D 2012 (see my previous post). Thanks.
okay, sorry, I didn't understand it.
I also have the following installed:
autocad map 3d 2011
Storm and sanitary analysis 2012
Industry model setup 2012
mapguide studio 2009 and 2010
thanks again!
