move point

Hello

If to move C3D point to specified distance -to some polyline, what is on the 0-level. then how to lock point so it would not change the level that it has.

Thanks!

One way would be to create a polyline from the current point to the destination point, then make sure that the polyline is set to the same elevation as your point.

Try this method:
Draw a line from your point to where you want it to go. Make sure the line
is at 0 Elev.
Move point by snapping from one end of line to other end.
(I believe a group of points could be relocated at the same time, if
needed.)

Hi,

Another approach is to use the AutoCAD .XY filter while selecting the new
location and then responding to the prompt for the Z value.

Or you can set the OSNAPZ value to 0 (only in 2006) and it will not snap
to the z of the target point.
