Move blocks to attribute elevation

Hello,

I have an issue with this command in C3D 2012 and I'll try to explain.

I have a block reference, a point with x, y and z=0.

His attibutes named ”ELEVATION” interest me to replace that zero value with the elevation value. In C3D 2011, with the same block the command is active, but in C3D 2012 this command is inactive. Please can somebody tell me why?

Please find attach some picture for better understanding.

Best regards.

In your screenshots I can't see any "ELEVATION" attribute...

As a classic method to change objects' elevation according to their attributes, you could:

1] _MAPEXPORT all your points to a shapefile

2] _MAPIMPORT it to a brand new drawing

3] _ADEDRAWINGS and attach this last DWG

4] _ADEQUERY with "Alter properties" by elevation

Thanks for response,

I follow your steps but in *.shp file doesn't export anything, without any error message or any other message.

I export in *.sdf file, but I didn't succed to replace elevation value.

Maybe the blocks are designed so that it cannot be used. 😞

If it is so, is bad, because I can't start the work, until I'll edit thousands of points.

In attachments are 3 kind of different blocks from 3 different works.

Thanks anyway.

It doesn't answer your question. But if you say it works in 2011. Move the blocks to elevation in 2011 then open the drawing in 2010. You could go further and create points in 2011, export them to an ASCII file and import them to 2012. Doesn't solve the problem but it gets you to work.

I'm not using 2012 yet so I can't test your drawings.

Bad part is that I don't have anymore the 2011 version, it was replaced with 2012 and from now on I must work in 2012.

Thanks anyway.

The best I can do is that I'm installing 2012 at home over the weekend. I'll try and take a look at your drawings then.
