Move and Rotate Drawing

I have a Civil 3D Drawing that I need ot match to another drawing. At present I only have Civil 3D points in the drawing, no surfaces, alignments, etc. I tried to move and rotate it to match the existing drawing using the AutoCAD Align commnad. The line work moved OK however the points moved but didn't rotate. I know how I would do it in LDT but want to do it in Civil 3d rather than going back to LDT.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

The points won't rotate. Their default label style is such that the text
will stay normal to your view. If they moved, check the coordinates, I'm
fairly certain you're just dealing with a display issue, not a cogo one.

Take this for what it's worth, but you really need to get some training to
start going into production with C3D. Your question shows a lack of comfort
with the way C3D works, and you will grow more frustrated as you try to just
wing it through the process.

JIm,

I understand what you are talking about. I guess I didn't make my question clear enough. What I need to do is to move and rotate the points so that their Northings and Eastings change to match an existing coordinate system. I am able to move them but not rotate them.

Thanks

In C3D, if they moved, then the coordinates updated. I'm think I'm lost as
well....

When I moved them, the coordinates id update. The problem I am having is getting them rotated. The two different drawings are on tow different bearing systems. When I try a rotation, the points do not rotate about the rotation point while all the line work rotates as it should.

I certainly appreciate your help.

Can you explain in more detail or provide an image to show what you are
expecting?

I try to rotate points today and it works. Points must be in different
groups.
I remember that i had the same problem and points didn't rotate. Maybe SP2
solved that problem?
I use Civli3D 2006 SP2

Maris,

Thanks for the info. I will have to check it again when 2006 is installed which should be soon. I ended up doing a work around.
