Missing Menus in Civil 3D - Menubar already set to 1

I tried searching, and I haven't found my particular problem.  We installed Civil 3D onto my supervisor's computer, and I can't find the menus.  It's like they completely vanished.  I set menubar to 1, and the only menu I get is the Express menu.  I don't get any of the other menus (file, alignments, profles, grading, etc.).  Does anyone have any other ideas to what's causing this problem.

Using the wrong shortcut so you are opening plain Autocad, not C3D?

We are using the correct shortcut.  I now have another computer that's having the same problem.

I just got a new computer because my previous one kept re-starting, lots of fun.  I am having the same problem except I have 0 menus with my menubar set to 1.

Melody,

It's been awhile since I had this problem.  If I could remember correctly, I think I had to do a clean re-install of Civil 3D, but one of the computers was acting like it was possesed by a ghost.  You could try doing a repair first to see if that fixes your problem. I wish I could be more helpful.

The fix for me - switch workspaces to one of the canned workspaces.  Pull down the arrow next to the workspace.  Select show menu bars.  Switch back to my workspace.
