- (minus) key opens Windows program drop-down in Civil 3D

This is weird - and driving me crazy.

When I type in a coordinate, say "13,-49", when I press the "-" key, the Windows drop-down menu opens and I can't type any more until I click on the command line again.

This happens in the Properties panel too, anywhere in Civil3D that I need to enter a "-".  What's going on?

Here's another thread about it:

No solutions though....

Regards,
Anthony

You're not alone. I have exactly the same problem on my C3D 2011 64bit. It's really annoying bug.

Agreed, this is one of the most annoying features. Anyone know how to remove the application menu button (I Don't use it anyway).

Something else I have found is that if you have the text window open it does not do this so my advice is to do any "-" typing into a floating text window rather than the command line (docked or undocked).

I thought it was only me. Sad to see I'm not alone on this one.

I am also having a really hard time inserting a 55 MB drawing into another one.

C3D just stalls.... It's driving me bananas.

The first thought that came to mind is why would you need a 55 MB drawing?
