I've got a project where the match line labels constantly reset to the left and right of the match line itself even though I've set it to be middle. I didn't have this problem with 2013 or earlier, so is it a possible bug?
Hi engrtech,
I tried replicating this behavior with Civil 3D 2014 with and without SP1 and it all seems to work OK (unless I am not following well). Adjusting Match Line Group Labels left/right location to middle and saving it, remembers the last location.
Is there a specific drawing or workflow you do when this happens?

This happens on two different drawings, but using the same view frame data shortcut. When I first open either drawing the match line labels are not in the middle, so I select one of the match lines, select Edit Label Group, and select Middle for both left and right match lines. For the rest of the time I have the drawing open they stay in the middle, but as soon as I close the drawing and reopen them they are rest back to left and right.
EDIT: I just close C3D, restarted C3D, opened the drawings and the labels remembered my setting. I'm not sure why last week it wasn't working. I had to reset the labels to middle in both drawings about 5 times last week. Strange.
I thought it was fixed, but I was wrong. I've been working on these drawings this morning with no issue until just now. I tried publishing the sheet set and the proposed drawing, which I didn't have open, has the match line labels resetting, but the drawing I already had open, the present layout, did not have it reset. I'm now thinking the resetting of the match line labels has something to do with publishing a sheet set where the drawing isn't already open.
Why don't you try setting your labels as you like and then try locking the layer these labels are on? See if that helps.
