Mass Haul Diagram and Overhaul volume (m3 km)

I am working with the Mass Haul diagram in c3d2009 and have it all set up to calculate my Free Haul using a 1000m free haul distance. The mass haul diagram looks great and it hatches properly but I can't find anywhere in the program to output the resulting Overhaul calculation?

This begs the question....Why have a mass haul diagram without a total Overhaul quanitity to base a cost estimate on?

If anyone knows how to get the program to calculate the total overhaul (in m3*km) or like units I would appreciate it!!

Thanks,
Jeremy

Perhaps if you posted a "picture" of your diagram, a solution may be
reached.

See attached.

The pdf shows my mass haul diagram. The text is to small to read but its 24.5km long and the maximum volume the mass haul line reaches is about 80,000 m3 so it is shrunk in the vertical scale.

I figured a quick solution to my problem for the time being!
My workaround was to make the mass haul diagram vertically correct so 1:1 scale and then I just exploded the diagram and got the area of the pink for the overhaul. Since Overhaul is calculated as m3*km this method works great. Likewise the blue area for Free Haul can be calculated as well.

Still looking for a way civil3d can do this or better yet show a report for the result!

Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

Since I only have 2010 working now, I was hoping someone else might step in.
BTW, I don't think you need to change your scale to 1:1. Just divide your
area by the vert. scale factor to get the same answer.

How can i make this work for CY?

Civil 3D cannot calculate overhaul - unless its available in 2013.  The only way to do it is by exploding as you mentioned...

Yet another "wish-list" item....

Mass haul functionality is sadly lacking in Civil 3D presumably because it's not viewed as being "sexy" enough to develop such that it is useful...
