Marker style not work if X and Y scale different

I created 3 marker styles to be used be applied as markers within 3 figure styles, but using the same block for all 3 marker styles. The size of the marker styles is set to "Use fixed scale" and all have a Y and Z scale of 1 but different X values. Unfortunatly it seems that if the X and Y values are different the marker will not show up on the figure.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in C3D 2014?

Cheers

Update: The block is appearing now but it scales relative to the world UCS. Which means that the appearance of the survey figure is only correct in one orientation, in any other orientation the marker gets skewed.

I want the marker to scale relative to its own orientation not the world UCS. Is this possible? Or will I need a separate block of different proportions for each marker style?

Orienting the marker to view instead of world coordinates does not help either.
