MAP>IMAGE>INSERT NOT WORKING W/ GIS

Autocad Civil 3d 2009

My civil 3d will not insert an image to its original coordinates from the other program.  I just got a new computer so I know it has to be something with the settings.   It works on the other computers, but not for mine, so it is the Autocad program not the other.  I tried to compare settings and they look the same.  any other settings I need to look.

I use PhotoMapper 6.1 with the gis data base my company has.  I export the image I select and save as a .jpg, then go into civil 3d and click MAP then IMAGE then INSERT... and select my exported image and click OPEN.  The window pops up with the X,Y,Z coordinates at 0 when they should be the true coordinates from the image.

thanks for the help, I tried to be as descriptive as possible

If you have a worldfile .JGW, try the _MAPIINSERT command instead.

thanks for trying, that command is the shortcut to what I normally do, so it still isnt working.  and yes it is a world file

Would you please open that worldfile in Notepad, then paste its content here..?

Sounds like a mismatch between the JPEG name file and the .JGW one: copy both to the root of C disk, rename them to KMED.JPG and KMED.JGW, finally load the file C:\KMED.JPG thru the _MAPIINSERT command.

Any changes..?

the file itself is not the problem it is something in my civil 3d, i can load the jpg on my coworker's computer to the right coordinates, and it works just fine.  it doesnt work on mine.  I feel like it is a setting on my autocad that is causing the problem just cant find out what it is

Update:

Still having a problem, my Civil 3d seems to not be picking up the JGW file and TAB file.

Civil 3d should read the JGW file, then the TAB file then the Imagae (JPG) file.  What I think is happening is when I try to load the file, Civil 3d reads the JPG first and passes the other two.  Is there a command or option box I need to change in order to fix this problem?

Did you test the above trick of post #6 ..?

yes I tried it again, still won't do it, which is expected because a coworker and I are on the same server and she is able to use the exact same image and insert it on her civil 3d.  thats why i konw its got to be a setting on my civil 3d.  both use civil 3d 2009

Do you have all the updates/service packs installed AND the Raster Design Object Enabler hotfix?
