Map Commands Not Working

Civil 3D 2007
Map Pull Down Menu "Inquiry" commands (all 5) are not working including typing the commands at the command line. Any solutions/workaround to this issue?

it is an issue. the identical commands are also on the civil3d toolbars
called... hmmm... program not open.. I think TRANSPARENT COMMANDS and
INQUIRY COMMANDS

or something like that.

for some reason the "map" versions of these macros don't work in C3D. But
the identical C3D toolbar macros do.
