Manual pt's not using new lable an d point style default settings

I changed the default parent point lable and point styles and there are no child overrides but when I manually insert points they don't use the default styles.  How do I get manually created points to use the default settings?  I made the change on the Point "Edit Features Settings" and those settings are also the same in the command settings and the override check boxes are unchecked.

Is there a fix for this issue (user error or software issue)?

Thanks

Check your _All Points, point group. That iis where the labels are coming from.

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. What did you do to the all points group? I can change the styles & see it update in my point but I'm looking for something in the all point group that says "use default style" so that when I change it in the command settings, I can just create points manually using the default settings.
