LinkToMarkedPoint and Offset Assemblies

I better do this before the end of the week when Autodesk gets rid of
the newsgroups.

Is it possible to have a link go from a point on a regular assembly to a
marked point on an offset assembly? I have a ditch that is next to a
sidewalk that I want to connect together. The ditch is not parallel to
the sidewalk, so I used an offset assembly figuring that was the best
way to go. But now I can't get the LinkToMarkedPoint or
LinkToMarkedPoint2 to work. Because the marked point is on the offset
assembly, under the Construction tab of the assembly I cannot make sure
the LinkToMarkedPoint2 is below the Marked Point.

Attached are some screen shots of what I'm trying to do.

Ugh, I'm an idiot. I had them backwards. The marked point needed to be
on the sidewalk side and the link from the ditch.
